Corgi Is!

Originally bred to herd cattle, sheep, and horses, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi is an active and intelligent dog breed. Easy to train and eager to learn, Pembrokes are great with children and other pets, and you can find them in four different coat colors.

Historie

1861

Poprvé byly kočky vystaveny v roce 1860 na výstavě koček v New Yorku a v roce 1861 bylo plemeno zaregistrováno. Od konce 19. století však zájem o toto plemeno postupně upadal, hlavním důvodem byl zřejmě dovoz perských koček do USA.

1955

Teprve okolo roku 1955 bylo zásluhou amerického klubu chovatelů mainských mývalích koček (Central Maine Coon Cat Club) plemeno znovu prošlechtěno.

1976

Další podporu získaly mainské kočky po založení Asociace chovatelů a příznivců mainských mývalích koček (Maine Coon Breeders and Fanciers Asociation) v roce 1976. V tomto roce bylo zároveň toto plemeno oficiálně uznáno. Od té doby jeho obliba vzrůstá, a to nejen na americkém kontinentě, ale i v ostatních koutech světa.

1982

Plemeno bylo zařazeno na seznam uznaných plemen FIFe.

2019

V listopadu 2019 padlo rozhodnutí, že se opět vrátíme k chovu koček plemene Maine Coon.

29. 12. 2019 jsme domluveni na převzetí kotěte z Polska do naší chovatelské stanice.
